The best thing about awards season is that we get to cast our minds back to the projects and the teams that have shaped our progress as a business and as professionals.
One of these award-winning projects that we had the pleasure of working on was – The Cove House, Sanctuary Cove.
Having been well covered by industry media including HOUSES Magazine, ArchDaily, EcoOutdoor and ArchitectureAU, after winning Architectural accolades last year, this development has also won the Housing Industry Association (HIA) Award for the Gold Coast / Northern Rivers HOME OF THE YEAR.
This stunning home, designed by Architect Justin Humphrey, demanded techniques that are usually reserved for large scale commercial projects – large, off-form, single pour concrete walls; as well as the softest, most, elegant, integration of timber and steel to create delicate courtyards that guide you up, and down, through the experience of the house only to find yourself waterside looking back at a large floating roofline.
When we cast our minds, back, however, it’s not the projects that stand out – it’s the people. The folks that have empowered us to deliver in ways in which we’re both capable and excited.
